Turkey fail to observe minutes silence.
Not only fail to observe it, but boo and sing Allah Akbar.

Re: Turkey fail to observe minutes silence.
I understand the Syrian coach questioned why there was a silence for France before their World Cup qualifier and not for dead Syrians.
While wearing a t-shirt with President Assad's picture on that proclaimed him the greatest man in the world.

So all Muslims are extreme then and not moderate as we are led to believe?

Re: Turkey fail to observe minutes silence.
I'm not condoning it in the slightest, but I can understand the frustration of seeing hundreds and thousands of 'your people' killed every year and the world doesn't bat an eyelid but as soon as a few westerners die then the rest of the world dress in sackcloth and ashes as if their lives are worth more than yours.

That doesn't excuse disrespecting the minutes silence (25 secs actually) but If that's the reason behind it, I can understand the frustration and anger

Re: Turkey fail to observe minutes silence.
Whose people are that then Polite? Loads of Turks have been killed by Islamic militants, over 100 about a month ago in Ankara.

Re: Turkey fail to observe minutes silence.

Hang on - is this the Turkey that absolutely hate the Syrians and Bashar al-Assad ? The sameTurkey, whose army let ISIS terriorists into Kobane to attack them.....

Re: Turkey fail to observe minutes silence.
I'm not being funny but most of the western world has stopped for 150 dead French people. It's no surprise that countries such as Turkey, which has seen its fair share of turmoil over the last few years, feels a bit aggrieved at the double standards.

Re: Turkey fail to observe minutes silence.
Allegedly and to be fair, If anyone can understand what the fuck they are chanting they deserve a prize!

They also go quiet about 30 seconds in, my guess is they were chanting away (whatever it is?) not realising the minutes silence was being done, but lets take the Daily mails version of events as gospel instead……….

stewie griffin 9:48 Wed Nov 18
Re: Turkey fail to observe minutes silence.
Correct, you aren't being funny, you're just lying for no apparent reason.

THE WESTERN WORLD HAS STOPPED

What a load of bollocks.
